Is this kid going to be Florida's next closer? I claimed Carlos Martinez last week thinking that he might have a shot. Did I get the wrong guy?

He won't be the closer, he's their main leftie set-up guy at the moment. Only reason he got the save today was a match-up thing and because the Marlins had a 4 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th.

Logan Kensing is second in line behind Borowski for saves.

What happend to Travis Bowyer? I would rather have anybody other than BoRo close. Maybe they could do a Pap type of thing with Petit, Sanchez, Volstad, or Hernandez. I'd like to see Martinez or Kensing take the just straight up though.

I like Carlos Martinez as the darkhorse for saves in the FLA bullpen. He's young and doesn't have a lot of experience, but he's been very good this season.

Bowyer looked to me like a lock to be the closer later this season but he hurt his shoulder and hasn't pitched since spring training, according to cbs.sportsline.

I don't think you can totally rule him out getting some chances later on in the year. I don't see any reason to trust Borowski, Kensing, or Martinez given their track records (or lack of in the cases of Kensing and Martinez). Bottom line fantasy-wise, I'd hate to be so desperate to be speculating on the Florida closer situation.
