Anybody else notice King Felix starting to deal?

Postby johnsamo » Sun Jun 11, 2006 6:06 pm

He outdueled Liriano last weekm, and I'm watcing the Angel's game and man is he dealing... 8 Ks, zero walks, just 3 hits... The other thing I like is, although he has a blow-you-away fastball and a great breaking ball, he's mixing in changeups and thus getting a lot of pop ups and ground outs, so he's had a couple of under 10 pitch innings. He's locating every pitch... I think he went to a 3 ball count twice.

He's in the 9th now, hope he doesn't blow it... but he's only at 86 pitches.

he got ahead of almost every better that was the key. didnt go to a 3 ball count on any hitter till the 8th inning then struck him out with a nasty breaking ball. this guy is finally starting to look like the real deal. ;-D ;-D ;-D

I bought low on him so I'm more than happy. He's going against schmidt next so that should be interesting.

If he pitches like today, he'll be fine... that he gave up 2 runs is a bit of a fluke, he was throwing shutout stuff the whole game.

Again I'm impressed. I was hoping he'd figure things out, it looks like he's getting a little more comfortable. Unfortunatley for me, I just traded him away. :~( I didn't want to, but it was a good deal, and since I just acquired Johan, I could afford to lose his arm.

I just picked him up off waivers right before this game. He single-handedly won 3 categories for me in my H2H contest ;-D . Certainly helps soften the blow from losing Rich HarDLen.

i loved seeing so many people dropping him....it was so dumb cause when he's on there is no better pitcher.....now, for us that were patient, we're getting our just reward!!

btw...i still think he's gonna have rough outings and i realize, unlike some people, that he's gonna continue to have rough outings every once in a while...

I made about 10 offers in the last 3 weeks to the guy that had Felix and couldnt get him to give him up even though he wasnt starting him. Too bad too I think he is going to be fine.
