keep in mind that the twinkies are travelling to NL parks coming up. it might be harder for him to get consistent playing time. I'd keep him in the lineup but, then again, I'd keep Jered Weaver in the rotation too...

With Tony Batista gone, he should be starting every day unless they face a tough lefty.
Also, he doesn't have blazing speed. He can steal a base or two if teams are not paying attention but I don't think he will reach double digits unless his knee is completely healthy.

Just missed another HR. The ball really carries off his bat. It looked like a routine flyball that carried all the way to the wall straight away center.

I've been eyeing him for some time now. He's as good a pure hitting prospect as there is. Now I have to decide if I want to be quick and drop somebody like Kearns or J. Jones for him or wait and see if he keeps it up.

Great hitting prospect(you could call him elite) last year before getting hurt. His knee probably will never be as good as before(he was never a huge base stealer) to allow him to be a 20/20 candidates. Maybe 10 sbs a year if he pick the right time to take off. But man he can rake!

Does he bat for average or is he pretty much a HR or K guy....Does he hit extra base hits consistently? Love some more insight!

He had the following line at Triple-A Rochester in 2004:
.343/.398/.560, 16 HR, 71 RBI, 16 SB in 90 games/350 AB.
He led the IL in hitting that year. At one point he went 53 AB's between strikeouts. He struck out just 184 times in over 1500 minor league AB's.
He was promoted to Triple-A after going
.377/.453/.667 in 32 games at Double-A.
Had 23 games and 60 AB with the Twins in 04 and went .300/.358/.433.
Severely damaged his knee in the Arizona Fall League after the 2004 season and missed all of 2005.
Joe Altobelli, the former Orioles manager, referred to him as a "young Roger Maris." His power isn't oustanding but has been described as "emerging." I'm guessing 20 HR is a reasonable target short term once he is guaranteed an OF job with the Twins.
His bat overshadows his arm which is strong. He is considered strong defensively.
