Oswalt

Has there been any further update on Roy's back and if he'll make his start next Wednesday? The last I heard is that he felt as if he had gotten hit by a sledge hammer. Not exactly what his owners wanted to hear...

Oswalt to return on Wednesday!

Postby Don G. » Sat Jun 10, 2006 2:42 pm

Just some good news for everyone. Sounds like his back is fully healed and he'll be ready to play this Wednesday.

RHP Roy Oswalt long-tossed before the game and will throw a bullpen session on Saturday. Oswalt, 5-3 with a 3.11 ERA, said he's fully recovered from a mid-back strain that's had him on the disabled list since Tuesday.
(Updated 06/10/2006).
Injury Report
Back - 15-day DL. Eligible to return for June 14 start at Chicago Cubs

Fantasy Analysis
Oswalt will start next Wednesday against at Wrigley Field. He hopes to make five starts before the All-Star break. "Just need to win all those and get back on track," Oswalt said. Reserve him until further notice, but it seems that he'll be ready to pitch once he's eligible to return. When healthy, Oswalt is among Fantasy's elite aces.

Awesome news! ;-D

Especially getting the nod against an offensively unproductive team like the Cubs.

my apologies to all you oswalt owners, i'm sure it must have been a long week. but this DL stint let me land him for Lowry and Pettitte, picking up Prior off the waivers. now let the good times resume, eh? ;-D

non of you know how it feels like to have Oswalt and patterson on the DL. Ironically they are both coming back very soon.
