Wade Miller against the Mets

Postby Transmogrifier » Wed Aug 06, 2003 10:32 pm

Anyone see the game? The stats are ok... but not THAT great.

6 innings, 7 Ks, 1.5 era, 1.33 whip.

In one of my leagues where I'm crushing the competition, Miller was dropped and is now in the FA pool (as of today). Is he worth it? The only "bad" players on my team are Larry Walker (but that'd leave me with no bench), Sasaki (is he going to close when he comes back?--I could put Sweeney on the DL instead), Beckett and Santana.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.

1. Beckett
2. Johan
3. Kaz
4. Miller

I know miller did good but beckett is just god when he wants to be, johan could be something special, sasaki should give you a few saves, and miller just doesnt look all that great now. I would rather have kaz.

Tough call. Sweeney's still fighting an injury, Sasaki is stinking up A ball, Beckett is doing well, Larry Walker isn't playing well at all, and Santana is good for the most part.

I didn't see the game, but remember that he pitched against the Mets. They have scored a lot lately, but not exactly the most formidable lineup.

I'd drop Johan or Kaz and pick up Miller. Miller and Beckett both have huge upsides, but I'd take Miller slightly over Beckett.

ERA and WHIP for one game is meaningless. Our leagues doesn't count either so who cares? :-)
