im in a keeper league and i have room for a backup catcher. i'm curious who you think might make a splash next year, and if someone like josh bard is that guy

Hard to say. Some younger guys like Ronnie Paulino have been swinging the bat well, but I don't know much about him. Closser was supposed to be pretty good last year from what I remember.

I would look at Russell Martin. He's played really well for the Dodgers.

Russ Martin, maybe Ryan Doumit, but he's struggled this year in a split role, partly due to injuries but still...

That's not true. Saltalamacchia's hitting .200 in AA, though he's getting hot as of late. There's no reason to believe the Braves like him more than McCann, they LOVE McCann.
