Man.......in a way it's good for me since I own him and have absolutely NOBODY to drop on my team to activate Harden/Hamels/Baldelli.....so another DL stint for Eric will help.

From Rotowire:
Jun 7 Gagne will be shut down for a few days after an MRI taken Wednesday revealed swelling around the ulner nerve in his elbow, the team's official website reports.

Recommendation: Obviously horrible news for the Dodgers, Gagne and fantasy owners. Gagne will not pitch for a minimum of three days and will hope anti-inflammatory medication resolves the latest problem with an elbow that has undergone two operations in the last year and Tommy John surgery in 1997.

I don't like hearing the "shut down" talk. This info seems to be less optimistic than Gagne's own report.

Eric Gagne will be shut down for a few days because of stiffness in his surgically repaired pitching elbow.
"I had an MRI today and everything looked good, but the nerve's inflamed a little bit," Gagne said. "So it's just day-to-day. I'm sure it will calm down. It'll be a matter of days. They said tomorrow it's going to feel 100 percent better and it's going to be fine after that." Well, there's surely room for skepticism here. Takashi Saito is the top candidate to close in Gagne's place. Jun. 7 - 9:48 pm et

fine eh? i dont call a guy who just came back from elbow surgery having elbow problems fine.

I'm hoping for the best, but picked up Saito off WW (just in case).

What happened to Baez? I thought he was the #2 guy in the closer role? I picked him up yesterday, now everyone is talking about this other guy. Will the real closer replacement please stand up? 8-o

Seriously......I picked up Baez yesterday but Saito is on the WW. Let me know if this is the guy because someone will snag Saito soon if this is the case. Baez has done so well for them I can't see them leaving him out. Please give me the latest info. I too believe Gagne will be out for awhile, or will return just to be benched again.
