Eric Gagne will be shut down for a few days because of stiffness in his surgically repaired pitching elbow.
"I had an MRI today and everything looked good, but the nerve's inflamed a little bit," Gagne said. "So it's just day-to-day. I'm sure it will calm down. It'll be a matter of days. They said tomorrow it's going to feel 100 percent better and it's going to be fine after that." Well, there's surely room for skepticism here. Takashi Saito is the top candidate to close in Gagne's place. Jun. 7 - 9:48 pm et

He doesnt need to throw 95 or whatever because he changes speeds and locates so well

91 mph was the highest if im not mistaken

I can confirm that he hit 95 in his first game back. Think that could have been against Phillies, but I may be mistaken.

against the phillies he did hit 95 to K howard, then...

Postby speedy12la » Thu Jun 08, 2006 2:42 am

followed it up by throwing a 60 mph change-up( he hit that batter though) i was at the game vs the METS and his velocity was down from where it usually is. it was between 90-92, but he threw d. wright a change-up that was clocked at 59 mph!!! he had him fooled the whole AB and ended up striking him out. if his velocity from his FB and CH is that different he will still be very effective(baring another injury)
aint nottin but a gangsta party!!!
