Velocity was down from the rehab games and there are rumors of a possible injury :(

He got the save last night but he was far from the Gagne of old.
He did look like he was in pain.

Also from the Dodger board:

Okay folks. Let's all calm down now, shall we. I was at the game tonight (field level directly behind home). Gagne apperared comfortable and in control. At no time did he seem to be hurt or favor any part of his body. Also, I watched the same inning in full on Tivo when I got home. There is no injury that I can see whatsoever.

The only thing that seemed to be bothering him was the no call on the strike he threw to Wright that wasn't called a strike. He was cursing in French over that one and even continued to curse about to Nomar on TV after the third out.

We are all a little paranoid at the moment and scared that something may happen again. Let me assure you that there is no injury, he looks masterful and will be our dominant closer for the entire season without problem.

I'm still worried, but it was the only remotely good news I could find on Gagne.

I heard he had chili dogs after the game last night, but that's probably not what you mean.

0.00 ERA, 0.00 WHIP, 2k's...a save...

Beautiful

Gagne said he was a little sore and not feeling 100% yet. He said it will take some time to get there.

so far so good :-]

He made Delgado and Wright look foolish.

I'd say 1 IP, 0 ERA, 0 WHIP, 2 Ks, 1 SV is more than a remote bit of good news. From reading this thread, you'd think he got shelled. It's his first game back from rehab, and his first in a real MLB game in a long time. If this is rust, I'll take it.
