ERA and WHIP are added up in totals (using IP).

There is no infinity loophole. Since dividing a number by zero is impossible, the ratios show up as infinite. But as the previous posts said, your ERA and Whip is calculated using all ER's and Innings pitched combined.

you guys are all wrong. it's not that simple....you're all buying into government propaganda. they want you to believe that it's a calculation that any 2nd grader with half a brain could handle....oh, but it's not....the real calculation is...

where x = number of innings pitched while sober
b = number of innings pitched while juiced up
a = average shoe size of opposing batters
n = number of weeks on HGH
Ø = times faced by lebanese immigrant third basemen

Plug in the numbers, and voila, era or whip, depending on which category you're thinking about. Now remember, this is stuff they don't want you to know about, shhhhhhhhhh...

well i suppose it is possible that IF ALL your pitchers never recorded an out during the week then despite giving up a ton of runs and h+w, your ERA and WHIP would still be 0.00 thus winning the week in those cats
