i dont think he will have an era below 3 but if he is healthy, which is a big question, then yes.. i think he is close to this good.

As long as he's healthy, yes.

He has been superb so far. I'd say this is going to be a great year for him.

Being a fly ball pitcher his 2 hr's so far is artificially low - even with him pitching in Dodger Stadium half his starts. I would expect him to put up about 0.9 hr/9 versus the 0.25 hr/9 he's put up so far. The k/9 (6.95) and bb/9 (2.75) seem legit as well and the bb/9 could even get better.

That skill set projects to a 3.67 era and a 1.297 whip. I would actually expect the whip and era to be slightly better than that as I think he'll improve on the bb/9 but other than that I would expect something in that ballpark.

Threw a gem tonite, 8 1/3 innings of 5 hit shutout ball.
117 pitches.
Would have liked the CG shutout from him, but I'll take this any day.
Now as for former closer Todd Jones... :-t

Great insight, doesn't that hold true for just about anybody? Albert Pujols was FRIGGIN awesome when he was healthy.

WTF?!??!! No! When healthy Penny can put it all together especially against crap tems like the rockies. When having some type of ailment such as back problems then he is shaky. So yes when completely healthy hes a STUD.
