I'll second Cordero. ;-D

Farnsworth & Dotel

Postby d18Mike » Wed Aug 06, 2003 4:54 pm

I gotta believe that someday soon teams are going to look at Octavio Dotel and Kyle Farnsworth and ask why these guys aren't closing.

Probably 1/3 of the Closers are on the bubble right now. I wouldn't bank on either moving into the role next year, but in time I think it's inevitable.

Dotel will stay in his role as middle reliever and continue to be the best at what he does. I don't think he'll be the closer!

there is some talk down here of trading wagner and having dotel close. whats the point of having lidge, dotel, AND wagner, when it is evident all 3 can close.

I've heard Aaron Taylor's name mentioned up in Seatle, but that's a real longshot.

What's the deal with Zimmerman and Cordero in Texas? RotoTimes and RotoWorld kind of make it sound like Zimmerman would be the primary closer if he came back healthy. What's the word for the rest of this year and next year if Zimmerman is 100% healthy?

From what I've seen Cordero looks pretty solid.
