Different situations, though. If it is found out that Pujols is 2 years older, who cares?? He would be 28 instead. That doesn't change the fact that he is still a great player and it wouldn't affect his ML eligibility. Almonte broke a rule. The LLWS wanted to protect their integrity. An older kid playing in the LLWS is much different from a player fudging their age in the majors.
Almonte's problem was that they caught him on tape buying beer for the other players after a big win.
