Look how quickly they sniffed out Almonte's real age. I think if Pujols was lying about his age there would be some proof he wasn't 26 by this point, especially now that he is breaking records.

Hell, its probably not too difficult to fake birth documents here in the USA. All you really need to do is kick the year of birth back a few years. Its just one number.

Different situations, though. If it is found out that Pujols is 2 years older, who cares?? He would be 28 instead. That doesn't change the fact that he is still a great player and it wouldn't affect his ML eligibility. Almonte broke a rule. The LLWS wanted to protect their integrity. An older kid playing in the LLWS is much different from a player fudging their age in the majors.

Almonte's problem was that they caught him on tape buying beer for the other players after a big win.
