a) He looks like the greatest hitter in baseball today
b) He also looks about 30, which is probably close 1-2 years either way.
There has always been speculation that his birth certificate is fudged -- a lot of knowing winks and nods about that in baseball I understand. His "age" is a common source of good-natured little snickers on MLB Radio, for example. As is that of Jose Contreras.
That doesn't present a real problem now. But it might seem strange when he needs to retire at a seemingly "very young age."
