Soriano is a real enigma. I just do notunderstand how he is havin ghis best season after being traded to Washington. It's his contract year, so I wonnder if he is pulling a Beltre or Javy Lopez.

Have you read any of those huge Soriano threads?
I'm scratching my head as well.

Not much. I have no reason outside of just my usual skeptical nature, but with all the HGH talk one really has to wonder. The one thing we know for sure is Soriano is one selfish ballplayer who wants to make the big bucks. Would it shock me to find out he decided to go on the HGH regimen for a year to push up the numbers and get the big contract...not really. But it is not like he was a stiff before (like Beltre) and suddenly found his swing. I really do not know.

"there are lies, damned lies and statistics"
He's performing outside of any predictions for him. I like his wacky style of play so I sort of root for him except the guy who drafted him hit a bunch of lucky 'slots' and has been tearing it up.
