I think this forum is about to take a different direction. lol

Renteria is essentially Jeter fantasy-wise. Some may disagree, but if Jeter's fluke injury (both are extremely durable) didn't happen, they would be very similar. Both are 5 cat guys at short on offensive powerhouses. Not a bad option. Next year's draft on these 2 will be interesting.

tejada hasn't exactly made a terrific case for himself this year. :-/

all the better for me because I took Renteria in every league over Jeter and Tejada this last April ... and I am very happy . Only one league do I not have Renteria and in that league I used Cabrera(mon) ... Jeter is way over rated.

i think i would have done the same. i'd take the runs, the stolen bases, and a .333 avg. over a few more homers, rbi's and a .261 avg. but now that might change now that he's heating up right in time for the final strech.

Jeter vs. Renteria is a wash. HR, SB and Avg they should be about the same. This year Renteria projects to have 100 runs and 100 rbi. Jeter should have around 125 runs and 75 rbi next year.

As for Tejada I think his value depends on where he signs. If he signs in LA value goes down.

Career Comparision.
Age: Jeter 29, Edgar 28
AB: Jeter 4690, Edgar 4179
Runs: Jeter 895, Edgar 623
HR: Jeter 125, Edgar 73
RBI: Jeter 599, Edgar 463
SB: Jeter 173, Edgar 211
AVG: Jeter .317, Edgar .288

I would still consider Jeter to be a better fantasy player.
