I see the Twins scored enough, and they took him out. But my concern is the 5 innings, 101 pitches and 2 K's against one of the most wiffing teams in MLB.. Anyone watch? Was he off today?.. Did he have a 30+ pitch inning somewhere?
Yeah he had a 30 pitch 1st inning, he didn't start well at all.
Obviously knew he didn't have his best stuff today (hence the lack of K's) but battled though 5 and ended up with a decent enough line and probably the win.
That just re-iterates how good the guy is, doesn't it?

I wouldn't be surprised if he was sent down to AAA to get himself together..
AAA? You've got to be kidding me? The way he's pitching he deserve to be send home to Venezuela little leagues.
Seriously though, everybody has bad games.
On a serious note, give him a break. He is still doing fantastic, he has 89 k's in 83 innings. Only 5 wins, but he's pitched a lot better than that. I could go on and on but it would be a waste of my time.
Also, don't forget that Johan WILL get hot, and probably soon. In 2004, his ERA around this time was near 5! In 2005, Johan went into June with an ERA in the mid 3s (which isn't bad but isn't Johan-like). However, post all-star break his ERA for both of the last 2 years has been way under 2.00!!!! People going into the season have to know that Johan will be there in the end for them.
