Somebody just dropped him so i picked him up. Anybody know what is wrong with him and if hes gonna turn it around? I have a feeling he will have a hot second half, not like vmart's but hopefully something similar.
i picked up Freddy Sanchez to replace him and have him on my bench. Now i am dying to grab Kinsler (free agent) and drop Peralta. Don't know if i'd be shooting myself in the foot
I finally cut ties to him, and was able to grab Furcal from the FA pool to take his place.
I had such high hopes for Peralta, he was very good for me last season. Just hasn't got anything going yet this year. And the move to 6th wasn't making him look any more interesting to me.

His rebound is looking less and less likely with every day. Surely he won't continue hitting in the low .200s, but I'd be somewhat surprised if he can get his avg over .265 or so by the end of the season. And now hitting sixth really does hurt his value. If he had speed too, at least he would be contributing there, but as it is he doesn't really help you anywhere and really hurts your average.
A few days ago I would have posted that you should definitely pick him up because he's been a Run machine, picking up 40 already. But since Runs are more of a product of who is hitting behind the batter than the batter himself, especially for a player hitting as poorly as Jhonny, it's much more of an iffy pick-up now. Instead of monsters like Martinez, Hafner, Broussard, and Blake hitting behind him, he'll have unremarkable people like Boone and Belliard to rely on.
Now, that said, the Cleveland lineup is still the juggernaut, only now Peralta will be hitting behind the monsters instead of in front. Therefore, there is potential here that he can transfer his absurdly high percentage of Runs for every hit he got to the same absurdly high percentage of RBIs for every hit.
If you want RBIs, I believe he'll be a steal for you. Just realize that your average will take a hit, his current Run pace will likely plummet, and you're not likely to see him hit 20 HR this year.
