I personnaly think Marte is better. With Gordan get shelled up a little bit latley do yall think Marte will get more chances. I think he should.

marte is better and has better stats, gordon on the other hand is pathetic, he srewed up so many games for houston last year, im glad we ran him outta town.

Marte probably is the better pitcher than Gordon, but the problem is that Marte is their best left handed setup man, so Manuel will be reluctant to save him for save situations. That's normally the reason you don't see left handed closers (except Wagner and Guardado.). Therefore, Gordon will probably get 2/3 or more of the saves.

I think the White Sox have a good tandem in Gordon and Marte. One Righty, and One Lefty. Marte has put up better numbers in the past two years, but is unproven in the closer role. Gordon has plenty of career saves, and his K rate has always been superb. They are about even talent wise, and I think the Sox are smart to use both.

better than gordon, yes. will he get more save opps, who knows??? unfortunately probably not.

Manuel is not a very smart manager in my honest opinion. I believe Marte is way better than Gordon, but he will never get the opportunities to prove or show that with Manuel leading the healm...

Marte is better than Gordon. If the Sox were to get a solid lefty reliever, then Marte might get more shots to close, but that isn't likely to happen.
