is it time to bale on varitek?

hes currently my starting catcher, 5x5 8 team h2h league, and willingham, mccann, pierzynski, bengie molina, and some others are available. varitek is a fast starter usullay and ends slow. with this slow start, and probable slow end, should i make a trade or pick someone else up? dont think u need my shole roster for this one

With the guys who are available, you do have better options. AJP, for one is having a much better year, and if he comes back healthy enough, McCann is another.

I think Varitek has his hands full trying to keep Boston's pitching together between the unpredictable Clement, Beckett's last two rough outings and the Dinardo/Pauley/warm body slot. He's been more of a defensive minded player for most of his career, and I think their pitching problems is detracting from his offense. He also seems to be lunging at more pitches than in year's past, for reasons I can't figure out. I'd move on.

but hes going to be the all star starter, he cant be having a bad year
