I had real high hopes for Giles this year, 27 years old, batting lead off, coming off a nice year, etc.

I haven't had the resolve to drop him yet, but have benched him several times for the likes of Vidro, Philips, Kinsler. Seems like everytime I do this, I miss Marcus' only decent game of the week.

Anyone, maybe some ATL locals, have any insight on this? Is he banged up? Is it the pressure of batting lead off?

If he doesn't turn it around by All-Star break, I've seriously got to consider dropping him.

He's actually had a pretty decent last few weeks, but ya this guy can frustrate you to no end at times!

He's actually picked it up a little from his really bad start. If history serves, he should have some good months ahead of him. Unless you've got a better option, my guess is you'll regret dropping him.

He's been doing better lately. From what I've heard, it's really just getting used to leading off as opposed to batting second, plus he's coming off of a messed up (broken maybe?) finger. He should heat up more soon.

im using Giles in a utility spot or benching him, ive got Uggla in for him right now at 2B and if he is available in any of your leagues i suggest you do the same, Uggla has been great lately, definately a good pickup

damn.. marcus giles is sucking ass this season! i have weeks and giles.. so i think im gonna bench him until further notice. i thought he was getting hot.. a couple weeks ago when he hit in 10 straight.. but damn.. this guy is killing me. is he ever gonna turn this around? the leadoff role doesnt seem to suit him very well.. im not sure when the genius cox is gonna figure that out....
