Is it worth using my WW position on gobble?

He's definitely a risk. He put up good #'s and got lots of K's in AAA. Depending on what veteran SP's are available he could be a risk worth taking, but I'd probably wait at least one more start to see how he does before picking him up.

No, he's probably not worth it. He will likely be sent back to AAA once Lima is off the DL, and maybe even sooner if the Royals sign Appier. He's definitely not worth burning waiver priority on.

i'm in the same boat, i want to drop lidle or lopez. think gobble is worth my time? here are my pitchers:schmidt, moyer, oswalt(dl), zito, wolf, meche, lidle, ra. ortiz, r.lopez. i'm in a deep league so there's not much available. lohse and trachsel. what do you think?

Yeah, I was thinking about grabbing Gobble up as well as he might have two starts next week since our league starts on friday but decided to go with Foppert instead. Plus as stated earlier, Gobble will probably head back down to AAA once Lima is back or if they do decide to go with Appier, which probably wouldn't be a bad idea since they would probably only have to pay him what, the league minimum because of his contract already with the Angels ( I still think it was stupid for them to release Appier).
