Though in all honesty it was by scouts not me, just what I had read as I never saw him before. Obviously the scouts missed it big time, well except for the Rays scouts. I will admit I wasn't a big fan of him at draft time though, but that's what I get for listening to bad reports/comparisons.
I just eyeballed Cirillo's stats but he had approx. a .380 OBP with a .850OPS over 7 seasons ('95-01). Perhaps he was underrated if a prospect comparison to him is a kiss of death.

He does fill a huge need for the Drays at 3B, but I would have been happier with the Longoria pick if we had signed Morris last week. Hopefully he will sign quickly, and get the move on in the organization. One thing this pick does do though if he signs, I think it takes 3b out of the equation for Upton in the future, so hopefully Upton can continue to show improvement at SS.
