Juan Cruz to DL

Just heard on D'Backs post game show, Nippert will be called up from AAA to start tomorrow. Bob Melvin the manager stated it.

It's obviously the kiss of death to be on my roster this year. I picked up Cruz, got one start out of him and now he's on the DL....great.

Isn't the news that nippert is being called up the bigger story? what are his minor league numbers like, and what should we expect from him in the bigs?

I have oswalt, sheets, and patterson so I decided to pick up cruz monday for some help and, well, sorry Juan...I didn't mean to put you on the DL.

Nippert is a top prospect but his numbers haven't been overly great in Triple-A Tucson. He has walked an average of 4 per nine innings, given up a hit per inning and has averaged 7.7 k/9. WHIP= 1.39. He's 7-1 at Tucson however. Nice Double-A numbers last year

Lol. Don't hold your breath is the rule when it comes to Yahoo and the DL. Let's face it, Yahoo can't do anything right. I remember a couple of years ago when Atlanta Thrashers defenseman Dan Snyder was killed in a car accident, Yahoo said that he was a defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens. Even in death they can't so anything right.
