Left game in the second with a left leg injury.

Running the bases, it appeared that Floyd twisted his left ankle pretty badly. He appeared to be in a lot of pain and was helped off the field, hopping on his right leg.

Does this mean Lastings will stay with the big club and start even when Nady comes back......(while looking into my crystal ball) since Floyd is going on the DL tomorrow???

they announcers just said xrays on Floyd were negative, so just a sprained ankle. looked real bad but sounds like a day to day thing.

as for Lastings that's a good question. i'm in North Jersey and Lastings is causing a stir among Mets fans. nothing like a home grown #1 prospect to get everybody excited, sell some tickets. i'm sure Mets management figured they had an out with this, if he didn't perform they could send him back down and say "it was temporary anyway, waiting for Nady", take some pressure off him. but since he is doing well and creating a buzz management will want to keep him up.
his little high five incident other night was hot topic on the radio and in papers, all for something so minor...

I think it would be fun of Lastings made it a tradition to do the high five thing when he runs out to his position in an inning after he hits a home run.
Edit: At Shea that is; probably wouldn't be very well received on the road.

i didn't think it was a big deal either. Sosa used to run around like an idiot to get the fans going whats wrong with what Lastings did? it was inbeween innings how was he showing up anybody?
although he was wearing an oversized diamond cross i saw in one highlight, he needs to lose that. looks silly.
