Where do the recent draft picks fit in?

I was just wondering where the top picks from the draft would fit in a top prospects list?

Well the likely prospects to be on Top 100 lists next year would probably be:

- Miller
- Hochvar
- Kershaw
- Stubbs
- Longoria
- Drabek possibly if his make up issues aren't to big

in your opinion...who's the first to get the call to the majors?

Well it would come down to the college players and how quickly they sign. Longoria looks to be on a good path as he has already signed and has the most polished bat over another guy like Stubbs who is more raw. Between Hochevar and Miller, Hoch is a bit more polished if signed quickly could be the faster to the majors as the Royals obviously don't have much blocking him. Miller however on a team like the Tigers can be brought along slower due to their depth.

I'm sure it's a pretty real possibility as long as he doesn't hold out to much. Though since they have good depth he probably wouldn't get much time unless there was an injury.

It's really just about having enough time to prove himself worthy as a main roster keeper - like Felix Hernandez did. Im thinking of picking Daisuke Matsuzaka and Hochevar/Miller (Whoever is availible) for my prospects (Hold them in minors till end of 07')

I like Linecum to be the first one to the majors. He had 199 strikeouts in college ball this year and could be used in a bullpen situation for the Giants by cup-o-coffee time.

I agree that Lincecum has a great chance to get to the majors first, but his value will be dramatically lower if he transitions into a relief role as many expect.
