I got to work today and found an item on my calendar called "XBox meeting". I think to myself.. hmm, this should be interesting.
I work in educational technology at a college. I'm one of the youngest people in my department. So anyway, I'm the first one to show up at this meeting. When I get to the conference room, I find these items sitting on the table, all still boxed with the price tags on them.
XBOX 360
3x wireless controllers
Wireless network adaptor
XBOX Live gold member upgrade pack
2x extra XBOX Live headsets
Wireless controller battery recharger kit
5 XBOX 360 games
So the big boss and everyone else files in. The big boss says that the even bigger boss's kid has an XBOX 360 and that he's impressed with the tutorials that come with the games, the ones that show you how to play the games and use the controls. He says we should research these tutorials and see if we could possibly use similar methods to train instructors how to use our technology in their classes.
So he looks around the table and says "does anyone like video games?". I was the only freaking person who said yes. I said "I'm just thrilled to be in the same room with an XBOX 360.". Everyone laughs. And the boss says, all right, you're in charge of this XBOX project. Hook it up to the overhead projector and the stereo speakers here in the studio and do some research.
So I say- "You know boss, I'm going to need an XBOX VGA adaptor to hook it up to the overhead projector. And also- I hear this game called The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion would be an excellent title to research. He laughs and says he'll pick them up at Fry's electronics later in the day.
So to make a long story short- I spent the whole freaking day playing XBOX 360 and getting paid for it! And it's what I'm going to be doing for the next few weeks as well!

Sorry again about the blatant bragging.
