He was rested and or punished for his antics from the night before, where he dropped the bat at home plate and showed up the umpire. The manager was not pleased, but he has been slumping and "wanted to give him a day or two to clear his head". Hall has been pulling the ball way too much, in a bit of a funk and maybe falling in love with the HR a bit. Heard this when watching the game yesterday, and I have Billy Hall.
