Houston is cold and hasn't been hitting. Bagwell is the only hot guy they've got right now. Villone is a journeyman ripe for the picking. Leiter has been red hot since returning from the DL. The Mets have been scoring runs by the bushel recently. Please tell me why I shouldn't play Leiter today.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
C'mon now. Hidalgo is cold and possibly injured. Kent still isn't back up to speed. Ensberg's average has dropped from .310 to .280 and he's hitting .170 over the last week. Like I said, Bagwell is the only hot guy. There must be a better reason than that not to start him.

I would take the risk of starting him. Ever since he came off the DL, he has been pounding the ball inside the way he used to do. He's not living on the outside edges like Glavine told him to do anymore. I'm thinking of picking up Leiter myself.

i've held onto him all season waiting for him to wake up. and it lloks like he has. but i think it is just too risky to start him in that playground. he's always better at home, don't do it.
I'm looking forward to Kent and Bagwell putting up some good numbers tonight, sorry.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

He's starting to pitch like the Al Leiter of old. He's pounding the ball inside again, and is no longer listening to the advice Glavine gave him about pitching on the outside corners.
