"Jun. 6 Jorge Cantu (2B) TB, who has been out since April 24 with a fractured left foot, could be in the starting lineup tonight against the Angels, according to the Tampa Tribune. "If everything goes well with Jorge [at Montgomery] he'll be in the lineup [tonight]," Manager Joe Maddon said. Cantu has been on a rehab assignment at Double-A Montgomery."

Yea buddy.... Guess we'll have to double check the pre game line up tonight. But he's plugged in for me too. Go Mr. CANTUuuuuu! ;-D

Cantu

Postby jealousblues » Tue Jun 06, 2006 2:27 pm

whats the story on this guy?

He had a great year last year. Someone in my league just dropped him, right before he comes off DL. He has Uggla at 2b, and Blake at 3B. Does this not make sence to anyone else?
m set at those positions, but it just seems weird. Anyone know something I dont?

What does this mean for Wiggington? I can't see them not finding a place for him to play. His numbers this year are great, .280, 13HR, 43RBI.

whoa, I have Uggla at 2B right now but I would take Cantu over him every day. Very weird, pick him up off the waiver wire if can for sure.

i just dont have room on my roster or I would,

12 team head to head NON keeper

H/AB R HR RBI SB FPCT OPS
C K. Johjima (Sea - C)
1B P. Fielder (Mil - 1B)
2B C. Figgins (LAA - 2B,3B,OF)
3B M. Ensberg (Hou - 3B)
SS M. Tejada (Bal - SS)
OF V. Guerrero (LAA - OF)
OF S. Podsednik (CWS - OF)
OF J. Bay (Pit - OF)
Util R. Sexson (Sea - 1B)

Pitching
W SV K ERA WHIP
SP K. Wood (ChC - SP,RP)
SP F. Hernández (Sea - SP)
RP B. Lidge (Hou - RP)
RP M. Rivera (NYY - RP)
P B. Fuentes (Col - RP)
P T. Coffey (Cin - RP)
P F. Liriano (Min - SP,RP)
BN K. Escobar (LAA - SP,RP)
BN D. Haren (Oak - SP)
BN J. Contreras (CWS - SP)
BN J. Verlander (Det - SP)
BN R. Clemens (Hou - SP) NA
DL C. Hamels (Phi - SP) DL
DL J. Patterson (Was - SP) DL

im two spots over roster when Hamels and Patterson come back, but I just did a trade of Sexon, Wood, and Coffey for Abreu...
that opened up two spots for them. So there is no place for him, besides someone else will probibly claim him off WW.
Figgins has been great for steals. If i had room, I guess I could trade Pods, adn Figgins for a better hitting speedy OF to someone who wants more steals an grab cantu, but that probibly wont happen, and I like my team as it is. Maybe one more good pitcher.
