Will the Orioles give him a chance to get AB's or have someone like B.J. Surhoff take playing time away from him? Cust deserves the opportunity.

I think Cust will probably get in a few games at DH, only to be replaced by BJ Surhoff when BJ comes off the DL later this week. I wish the Orioles would be a little more committed to the future, and give guys like Cust a chance to make an impact. BJ Surhoff doesn't factor into the future of the organization, so why waste at-bats on him?

He reminds me of Matt Stairs. Has some pop, but is a slug with no defense. At 24, Cust is already dh bound. Very few guys strikeout as much as him. In the minors he easily was over 1 k per game. In 600 abs, he could beak k record.

Cust is a bust. His power was overrated to begin with, he has an incredibly long swing and he can't catch a cold. Hootie compared him to Matt Stairs, but that's an insult to Stairs, who's really not a bad hitter, especially vs. righties. Cust is just a stiff.
