The ESPN chat called him a fringe regular and most likely a bench player. They said the Padres drafted very conservative. Hopefully the Padres got something there, because we need a third baseman.

Wait a second. The Padres need a 3b? Couldn't they just use uber-prospects Sean Burroughs or Matt Bush?
I guess I'm pretty happy with this draft. I haven't been following it extensively but from what I hear Lincecum should be ready to pitch out of the pen in the pros pretty soon. It was also cool to see my Stanford boy Greg Reynolds go #2 (although he was a stretch there).
Im not so stoked at the Dodgers taking NO college graduates in the first few picks. We have a city college guy and 3 or 4 high schoolers in the first pick. Now, I know Logan White has pulled through before, but I think thats just too much risk.
I think it's pretty hard to argue with anything White does. He has single handedly made the Dodgers farm system at least Top 5 for quite a few years now. Also in a weak draft, the first 2 H.S. pitchers they got were very good picks IMO.
Billingsley, Martin, Kemp, Elbert, Miller, LaRoche, Broxton, DeWitt, etc.

Edwin Jackson?
sorry for the hijacking but I had him
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.
Well Edwin just goes to show how hard developing pitching prospects is. When he was drafted he was a raw pitcher that barely pitched in H.S. White saw his potential even where many didn't (drafted in the 6th round) and at one point was an elite pitching prospect. A lot has happened to him the past few years w/ his delivery, confience, and control to hamper his developement. If it comes down to it I think he can become a very good arm in the bullpen or closer.
