Signablility and I've heard the last day or so that the reason he hasn't pitched all the well the last month is because of some minor issues with his arm.
Thats more just rumor than anything though but wouldn't surprise me with him being what, 6'6'' and 200lbs soaking wet......

He went to St John's Prep in Danvers, and played with my brother's brother in law, who is in all my keeper leagues. My brother's brother in law says "he's nasty"...

He was drafted in the 34th round in 03, yet we drafted him in the 2nd? Since 03 hes hasn't done anything special in college.
The Mets will win the World Series this year.

When the Cardinals drafted him in 2003 in the 34th round he was a H.S. player. Now he has 2 years under his belt at Villanova. Baseball America says that there was no way he dropped passed the Phillies in the late 30s. Anyway, I posted the BA report over in the Mets section.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
We can't afford to draft a higher risk guy (A. Miller) or the fans will go nuts. We NEED a guy to show up in the MLB rotation and not flop and Hochevar gives us that with less risk than Miller.
Just my opinion but I like it. Miller has more upside but he is farther away and has more of a possiblility of flopping (only 2 pitches, not great control, tall and linky, etc)
Don't understand the 2nd pick though? Jason Taylor, HS Shortstop?
Jason
Jason Taylor? Eventual Berroa replacement?
Just a question but isn't Lincecum more MLB ready?
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.

A Berroa replacement is all fine and good but the first three picks shoulda been pitchers IMO. As far as Lincecum goes, he was projected to be a better relief pitcher than starter if I remember correctly? Not to mention he is a tiny guy who throws hard, that usually means arm trouble sooner or later........
