I sure hope that happens ... I need someone to pull me out of a WHIP tailspin, but we all know it's a matter of time before someone lights Harden up like a Christmas tree.
With D. Young out of the lineup or at least limping badly within it and Higginson overreaching and underachieving, the Tigers don't have a major league caliber hitter in the lineup.
The real test of faith comes next week when Harden is scheduled to face the Red Sox -- his first Juggernaught offense.
They actually changed the rotation around, and he doesn't have to face the Red Sox. He faces the Tigers tonight, the ChiSox on Sunday, and then the Blue Jays next Friday.
I think the reason they switched it is because they wanted Hudson, Zito and Mulder to go up against the Yankees to give them the best chance at winning. The White Sox actually rank 10th in the AL in runs scored (only Oakland, Tampa, Detroit and Cleveland rank lower), although that could be skewed because they started the season horribly and caught fire recently.
Just reading the posts.. I met harden the other day
and got his autograph, he is a really cool guy.
He was just having a fun and talking to all the
fans, like he is in heaven, he is only 21 though,
so it makes sense.. Anyways he should do
pretty well against detroit today. I would say
his first CG shutout isnt out of the question.
