The reason the Simpsons lost is because of how bad the last 5-6 seasons of the Simpsons have been. If you were comparing equal amounts of seasons, I think the Simpsons have a sizeable advantage, even though Seinfeld is either my 2nd or third favorite.
I thought futurama should have lasted longer, that show is comedic gold.
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

I totally agree. The show should've ended years ago, but it drags on like your favorite ballplayer sticking around a few seasons longer than he should.
And whenever Matt Groening mutters any possibility of ending the series, Fox gets bombarded with hate mail from all the geeks out there that can't live without the show. Come on people. All the quality seasons are now on DVD and the show is played in syndication by just about every local station out there. Enjoy what you have and let it go.

I don't think I've sat down and watched a new episode in forever. I love watching the old ones

Married with Children was a great one and should have finished 2nd IMO. I still can watch any episode and find something funny to laugh at I ahdn't got before.

I would have personally put Family Guy #2 behind the Simpsons, but I never got into Seinfeld either. I probably wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't on the list.
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to vote, but I pretty much agree with the standings; Seinfeld is the greatest comedy ever to grace my television, and The Simpson's is a close second regardless of their recent downward spiral.
I'd probably put Curb a little ahead Family guy and Arrested Development lower because, although it was a great show, it just wasn't really hilarious. I also agree with the bottom three, although I would put Mad TV at the very bottom since it doesn't even deserve the company of the other shows listed; the "poor man's SNL" is for people who don't get clever jokes about current events... not to say that SNL has been particularly clever lately, but you have to give credit to a show that's run 30 years. I've always disliked Frasier, although I watched it all the time in spite of its dumbness. I always felt weird after sitting through an episode, like I did something I shouldn't have done, but I'm not exactly sure what.
Finally, I would easily have put The Daily Show in the top 5, but I can see how that was understandibly omitted to avoid political squabbling.
