I think he was just pulled out as a precaution. The A's were not well ahead at the time, but were ahead enough where they could have the luxury of sitting him for the rest of the afternoon. He's been playing a lot more than most anyone expected so getting him as much rest as possible is the way to go for the A's.

Just read on the Yahoo update note type deals that he said the injury is "no big deal" and that he'll be ready to play on Tuesday

He's been hitting great lately.....
