Did somebody get hurt? What position would he play? I think his position is really the question right now. Obviously, TB doesn't see him as a SS since he wasn't brought up when Lugo went down. I wager he'll be called up when TB has their needed exodus of FA to be players (Huff/Lugo). He, Young (can he be brought up?), & Dukes will be the first guys in line. Also, and news on Bankston? Hows he doing? He still trying to play 3B?

I would say that if Young and Upton aren't atleast September call ups this year...that would be pretty pathetic ont he part of the Cheap Rays.

If upton gets called up it will be to play 3rd base. Lugo isnt going anywhere and upton has 18 errors on the year.

That isn't the case, why bring him up when he still needs to work on his defense? They gave him a choice and he said SS, so now they are letting him do that. The Rays organization doesn't want to throw in into the bigs when he isn't ready. Despite the errors he has improved his fielding (only 5 fielding), when he gets his throwing back to what it was there is a good chance he is sticking at SS. It just will take some more time.

Also Bankston is hurt right now, I doubt he will ever be able to play 3B with average defense though.
