is this guy ever gonna start regularly? i thought he was supposed to be a great hitter and would be playing 1b to get some at bats. is he even worth keeping as a backup catcher in a keeper league?

He's got a big hamstring pull right now...I actually don't expect him much more this year because of it. Those take soooo long to heal.

Plus, Ronnie Paulino is playing great baseball for us right now. His defense is very good, and he's a sound hitter to boot. He basically came out of nowhere this year, but I think the Pirates are going to ride him the whole year at this point. They were trying to get Doumit some PT at 1st and maybe even the OF, but the team's chart is extremely crowded at all those positions. You might as well open up some space on your team by releasing Doumit.
