Can You WIN YOUR LEAGUE LAST in SAVES??? ADVISE PLEASE

I need strategy advise! I'm in 12 team 5 x 5 roto league...currently in 4th. Here's my team:

I have two questions. FIRST, Carbera, Cantu and Alou are all coming off theDL and I'll need to dump 2 players once they do...who goes outright???


The BIGGER Question: I'm LAST in Saves...can you win a League last in saves? Hoping Gagne helps, but maybe I can just get rid of all closers for more SP? I'm 3rd in wins but 8th in ERA and 9th in WHIP, 12th in saves...can I just make a trade wiht Gagne, Benitez (perhaps a bat as well) for serious ERA/WHIP help and climb the charts????

I would keep the closers you have. Is there an innings pitched limit? If so getting more SP's may not help you that much. But to answer your question, yes you can win your league being last in saves, but that means you'll just have to be that much better in the other cats.

Any thoughts on Saves? Can you win without them? I was in 2nd for a bit last week until my SP crapped on the field last week....I've always been last in Saves too....

LOL...OK, I admit...have bno idea what WHIR means? I asusmed it meant ..."With Help I'll Respond" or something like that...untrue?

Anyway, who should I target if I consider trading to get my ERA/WHIP down? I assume I'd trade Gagne, Benitez and a bat (likely a 1b), for 2 SP....
