think hes gonna have the job for much longer? been holding onto rodney hoping he gets the job.

If Jones loses the job he'll get it back shortly after.. the Tigers have too much money sunk in Jones to use him as a middle-reliever. They're not the Yankees.

i said the same exact thing about coco cordero with the rangers, and look whats happened there.

Well in all respect, Jones does have 16 saves and his two blow-ups have come against the Yankees and the Red Sox. Cordero struggled from the get go this year and never straightened it out.. I dont think Jones is in that same situation because he has been fairly solid all year. His ERA was a respectable 3.12 before the last 2 games.

i agree, im just saying...money probably wont be a major factor.
i think jones keeps the job that he was brought in to do, baring injury

The Braves hardly ever admit they have a problem with their pitching staff... they tried to sneak Tim Hudson and Dan Kolb in without telling anyone because I guess Cox wants everyone to keep talking about how great he is at adding players.

Is this Cox guy that you speak of the same guy that has led the Braves to the NL East crown every year for the past 2 decades?

Yeah...that dude sucks...he doesn't know anything about adding players.
