The local paper here said when he was called up last week that the Angels front office tld him that he had 3 starts to audition for a spot in the rotation. I think someone gets pushed into long relief and Bulger gets sent back down.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...

I guess you missed out on Weaver? Too bad.
You guys overhype every decent guy that comes up. Where is Tom Seaver- encarnate Cole Hammels or last year's new AROD McPherson? Pathetic.

I was shocked I could still pick him up in my keeper league were we keep 12 players each year. And..I did it as he was a free agent, did not even have to use my WW slot!! And picked him up last night!! Now just hope he stays in the rotation...need that good start against Tampa...

I am a HUGE fan of Jered Weaver (if you do go to pick him up make sure you get the right weaver). Even though he is young he knows how to "pitch" and doesnt always rely on having the most electric stuff. He undoubtedly will get blown up as he is a rook, but he will be the best rook pitcher this season if he stays in the rotation which i suspect he will even if he gets hit a little in his next start.
What I find funny is that this guy got a fraction of the hype Hamels did and was the better prospect from day 1. He fell to 12th in the draft only because he signed boras as his agent. This guy has the goods and I would trade for him now before his value fully matures this season.
Jeff will get moved to the pen imo should jered stick in the rotation.

Anyone see this guy pitch a full game? I only caught him on sports center, and his windup is just plain weird.

Is it me or does Jered look almost identical to Jeff up there? Without the mental issues at least for now. I think Jered's ceiling is a solid but not spectacular #2 type starter.

They look like twins imo.
