Here is a video clip of Dukes hitting an absolute BOMB off JON LESTER (top pitching prospect). This is actually the same game (i think) that Delmon was suspended.

Anyway, he is greeted by BJ Upton afterwards, and just look at his demeanor, swing and the reaction of him, the crowd, Upton, and the opposing team when he hits this out. Very impressive!

It's impressive, but also unimpressive. Although I think he could be great, the way he reacts to hitting....CRUSHING...that ball does not impress me at all. Cocky players are usually stubborn, which could really hurt his development.

This is the biggest criticism of him and the reason he is not on the BA top 100.

However, as long as it doesn't stop development, if you're good, you're good. We have gotten way too "P.C." with baseball!

There seems to be a double standard with boasting with hitters and pitchers. Have fun, show off. You don't think Gagne or Rodriquez boast when they get that last out? I think that is more egregious than what Manny or Ortiz does.

Do you think that with Gathright under the Mendoza Line, that if he continues to struggle, they can call up Dukes with Baldelli (Send down Gathright and Hollins)?
