Derek Lowe?

I liked the idea of him going to LA last year, but he really lacked consistency. He seemed to follow up every gem with a complete lemon. This year, consistency doesn't seem to be an issue. Is it time to reconsider Derek Lowe as a legit fantasy contributor or are those bad outings on their way?

Lowe has been an ERA stud for me... seems like everytime he takes the mound he gives up 0 ER

He's been a great help to me on a pitching staff where I've had some major troubles. Lowe pitched very well last year too, I'm not sure why this trend would change.

He's earned a spot in the bottom of my rotation with his play. I can't really complain but I also wonder if he can keep it up after the ASB

Last year, he got zip run support... This year, he's had leads and thus been more agressive, not trying to paint the black so much... He can do that also because Dodger stadium is pretty pitcher friendly compared to Boston and he's got a good defense behind him... That and the NL hasn't kearned to layoff that low slider like the AL was starting to do.

He was very consistent in the second half last year. I was targeting him big time during the draft and was able to get him as my number 6 starter with my 16th pick. When he keeps his sinker down, he's money.

I'm surprised he's doing that well considering the infield he has. A sinkerballer really relies on a good IF, obviously, and with Razor Ramon at second I can't imagine they have an above-average IF defensively. Obviously Furcal is a good SS and Nomar has great range for a 1B... I suppose I don't really know much about Aybar at third defensively. Okay, that really wasn't as much a post as an out-loud thought.
