any idea when he will be back??

We're getting the old "no timetable" business, which means he'll be out for a long while. Apparently he will probably pitch about three or four weeks after his first bullpen session (which, of course, has not been scheduled...)

I doubt we'll see him before the All-Star break and at this point, I'd be happy if I get a decent half season out of him.

The Brewers still haven't established a timetable for when Ben Sheets (shoulder) will throw off a mound.

"I'm not there yet," Sheets said Sunday. "My arm is better but it still doesn't feel that good." He has been playing long-toss but has yet to step on a mound. Sheets is expected to return to the rotation three or four weeks after his first bullpen session

Pretty much what Doughhead said. I'm not happy about it, but I'm not dropping him either. If he can help me in the second half, I'll be ok with the long wait.

Latest is that he took thursday off after playing long toss for 3 days in a row. He's going to continue his rehab getting his shoulder stronger during the homestand, and when he OKs it then he goes through mound/bullpen/assignment etc which will take a month or so.

After the all star break sounds aboour right, and I'd be delighted with a solid second half, at this point. This guy is killing me.

I concur with everybody, I'd be happy with a solid second half as well...very disappointing indeed though!!

Well aren't you Mr. Sunshine. If he can keep it together for half a season, it'll still be better than the waiver wire crap I've been forced to replace him with.

i have like 3 starters who were supposed to anchor my rotation that ended up on the dl ever since the season began...

sigh...
