It's good to have Corey. I have Craw, Vlad & Beltran and none of them are healthy right now, thank you Crawford
What do you mean by "healthy?" Last I checked, Vlad was 3/5... sure no homers, no rbi's, but still a good all-around game by him... If what you mean by "Healthy" is them not playing up to their potential, then I agree with you on that at a certain point...
Anyway, enough babbling, I too, have been on the Corey Patterson bandwagon (used my waiver wire 1st priority selection on him back on May 12...) Best free agent pickup I've made all year!!!
I haven't seen him play yet but looking at the stats, he is obviously different from what we've seen in 05. Of course he is in a hot streak so his current numbers should be taken with a grain of salt.
Compared to 05 his K rate is down, BB rate is up. He seems determined to run at every possible chance and is very successful. If he gets the PT, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to steal 60+ bases.

i refuse to acknowledge that he is having a good year. he was off to a nice start a few years ago before blowing his knee out, but to me he's just on the fast track to becoming another Adrian Beltre...a player that has a great season out of nowhere that i missed picking up and refuse to trade for and will never draft the next year becasue he will suck
...that or the Cubs are just really, really cursed
Is it too early for me to jump on his little brother's wagon, as well. E-Pat is a 2B in the Cubs' system (AA West Tenn right now) who is a better average hitter than his brother. He has less power, but more speed.
He's still a year or two away, but go ahead and jump on now before it's too late!
Is there anything fluffier than a cloud? If there is, I don't want to know about it.

Only Beltre is Tru.
