This guy's putting up good production numbers and is a relatively unheralded young middle infielder. Who thinks he'll keep this pace up?

He was supposed to be this good two years ago, so this season isn't all that surprising. Everyone has been wondering why in the hell it took him so long.

really? i know he was rushed up a couple of years ago, but he is still only 22. BP compares him to f. lopez at that age, which is a good thing. his walk rate is troubling though, which makes me think that if his average starts to slip, his production might too. still, no complaints so far from this owner.

thanks to madison/go_jays_go for the slick sig!

I think that's a bit harsh and not that clear. He wasn't expected to be great or even that good, he was so young and still developing. As has been said he is still just 22, quite young for most and it's finally clicking for him at the major league level. I'd be careful though whether or not he can keep this up the whole year. Pitchers could start pitching him different and his lack of patience might catch up to him, but for now the kid is looking good.
