It's not automatic. I read something somehewher about thome playing 1B and Konerko sitting because Thome's hot. I just traded for Konerko and I'm not worried

From a die-hard Sox fan here in Chicago, you have nothing to worry about with Konerko. He and Thome will be SPLITTING games at 1st during the NL interleague games. Ozzie has said that he wants to get Thome in the games because he has been so hot, but not at the expense of sitting Paulie for extended games. So, I take that as one game on, one game off for both Thome and Konerko. Paulie got last night off because he hadn't had a day off in weeks, and they wanted to get Gload some playing time. Hope that this helps.

From a die-hard Sox fan here in Chicago, you have nothing to worry about with Konerko. He and Thome will be SPLITTING games at 1st during the NL interleague games. I really don't think that is going to matter. Ozzie usually goes against all conventional wisdom, so I highly doubt that he'll go with a lefty-righty matchup or vice-versa. My best advice is to see who starts @ 1st , then play the other the next day. But honestly, with Ozzie, you never really know what he's going to do. Personally, I'm going to keep Thome in my 1st base slot, because I think that even 3-4 days a week of Thome (or Konerko if you have him) in NL parks is much better than any other scrub 1B I'd find out there now.

I'm a Red Sox fan but love what he's doing in Chicago. Anybody but the Yankees is fine by me.
