What can a mid-level floundering team do?

Postby GoatCurse03 » Thu Jun 01, 2006 6:57 pm

12 team, mixed, 5x5, 7th place, we get 7 keepers. Pitching has lagged, in part due to injury, also due to underperformance. Hitting lacks enough power. Who are my sell high candidates to improve the team, and what holes do you think I can fill? I do have too many closers if Gagne returns to form, so let me know what I should with one (two?) of them. Thanks, and let me know if I can help you.

Wow u may need some serious makeover surgery here.

HRs/RBIs are good, but not dominant.

BA is solid. Sometimes adding a couple of lowend players like Sanchez, Lowell & even Carroll can add something even moreto your Rs & BA too thou.

SBs r not great, could be better. Heres where u need to add a player that gives more SBs without killing your BA. getting a leadoff hitter would help your runs too.

SPs u have too many 2nd & 3rd tier starters plus too kids that u'll have to wait on. If u want to win now u have to upgrade here. Your future here looks bright thou.

RPs r rock solid.

Tradeable pieces.

Now that Gagne is back try fishing a BFuentes to a team that needs a closer.

Drops:
WRod
BBonser
DDavis(maybe)

Depends what FAs there r.

Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

sell rios and hamels and jered weaver high, get either a top tier SP or OF in return in some kind of trade

I made a bet in 2003 that the Devil Rays would win the 2008 World Series. Oh so close.

I'd consider trading Papelbon high, as you might get something terrific in return. I just did a draft where hes was taken first round. I think he was the #5 pick overall or something. I know he's a rook and therefore priceless in a keeper league, but that just adds to his trade value. And let's face it, he's not going to have a 0.38 ERA forever, so why not haggle with a guy who thinks he might?
