First I will admit that he's just about my favorite player out there.
Anyway, Tex and his lovely wife had their first kid right before the season started. Anybody think that those sleepless nights might have something to do w/ his slow start. I think the home/road splits might support this theory a little bit. Just throwing it out there.

Also, for the record, I think he'll turn it around.

Anyone who has watched the Rangers consistently this year has noticed that Teixeira has been hitting the ball well. His stat line is not a true reflection of how well he has been playing. Michael Young has hit for poor power this year as well and nobody is bashing him or accusing him of roids.
