What is everyone thoughts on his shoulder should I avoid trying to get him or go hard hoping the other manager is scared. Thinking of offering Schidmt for him

According to today's North County (San Diego) Times, he may very well miss Saturday's start but only be pushed back until next Tuesday. Bochy said the decision will be made today.
That being said, Schmidt's numbers for the season are better than Jake's, unless you're looking for K's and K/BB ratio.

Thanks for the info. I know his numbers are better now but this is also a Keepers league and I think Peavy will be better in the long run

Ah - I agree I'd rather have Peavy in a keeper league. He's only 24 and is an absolute bulldog, his best years are ahead.

Should I buy low on him this season? Or do you all think his shoulder problems will eventually put him on the DL and basically persist throughout the season.

If someone was willing to sell low I'd surely jump on it. Peavy is an absolute stud. That being said, his delivery does put strain on his arm, particularly his shoulder, so it's possible this could be the start of a shaky year.

i am also very curious, i have the chance to acquire him at a discount, but don't want to do it unless this won't be a recurring theme. anyone have any info on it?
